Since 2009, our founder Precious has succeeded where the high-stakes reality of the classroom meets the complex needs of the community. Her journey began with "at-risk" young adults in Florida, a start that defined her approach to education: connect first, then cultivate. Over the next fifteen years, she navigated the K-12 landscape as an award-winning ELA and Drama teacher, district-recognized tech pioneer, Mentor Teacher, and a leader of high-performing teams of Educators.

Her track record is one of tangible shifts in culture rather than just theory. When teachers were leaving, she built a New Teacher Retention Program that stabilized attrition and gave novices a blueprint for data-driven classroom engagement. When behavior systems felt punitive, she flipped the model—creating a student-led economy and work-ready training programs that gave students a stake in their own growth.

In 2025, Precious moved from the classroom to the broader mission of Spark.Ed. She bridges the gap for under-resourced leaders by providing the research-backed strategies she used to build culturally committed, high-achieving classrooms and school-sites. She knows the growing pains of this profession because she has navigated them; now, she helps Educators, School Leaders and Community Stakeholders build the healthy, sustainable relationships required to let learning happen.
